The first ever 2011 The Word On The Street Lethbridge Festival featured 45 authors, 17 live music acts and dozens of hands-on activities for the 2000 attendees who took part in the Festival on the streets on and around the Lethbridge Public Library Main Branch.
Now we’re planning the 2012 Lethbridge Word On The Street Festival and it’s going to be bigger and better! As an exhibitor, your business or organization will enjoy the benefit of aligning with the Lethbridge Public Library to create an overall positive Festival experience for our community and in the process give you a dynamic environment in which to sell merchandise, food or beverages or build awareness of your programs and services.
Festival Audience
For our second year, we intend to double the 2011 attendance to upwards of 4,000 with substantially more advertising and advance promotion. Statistics from the six national 2011 festivals indicate the following:
• approximately 28% of attendees bring children
• almost 50% of attendees purchase some type of merchandise
• almost all (87%) of attendees purchase at least one food or beverage item
The Market Place
As an exhibitor at the Word On The Street Festival you will take part in what is growing into a signature event for southern Alberta! Whether your goal is to create awareness, solicit donations or memberships, or sell merchandise, food or beverages, The Word On The Street offers a fun and friendly environment for you to meet a diverse audience looking for a new experience. With the streets and library parking lot closed to all vehicle traffic, the Marketplace Village will be filled with exhibitor tents, four performance areas and numerous displays and activities in the parking lot and the two adjoining streets of 5th Avenue and 8th Street South.
