It takes a lot of volunteers to pull off a successful event and we need your skills, energy and enthusiasm to add to our team for 2012. It’s a great opportunity to be part of a major Lethbridge event, add to your resume, and enjoy a great after-party!

Here are some of the jobs we need help with.  Please fill out and submit the contact form below with your preferences.

Early (May-June)

  • Author relations
  • Some admin support
  • Bloggers, Facebookers, and Tweeters needed who are willing to post and share information, write positive Festival blog articles and tweets
  • Assist with organizing pre-event promotions
  • Take part in promotional events
  • Organize the volunteer after-party, budget etc.
  •  Your ideas?

Mid (June –Aug 15)

  • Some admin support needed
  • Bloggers, Facebookers, Twitters

Pre-Event (Aug 15 – Sept 22)

  • Bloggers, Facebookers, Twitters
  • Poster distribution team
  • Pre-event site clean up
  • Site set up; booths, tents, signage, banners

Festival Day – September 23rd 2012

  • Tent set up (need lots of strong bodies)
  • Traffic coordinators
  • Litter control
  • Lost child attendant(s)
  • Information
  • Author/performer coordinator
  • IT person
  • Security
  • First Aid/emergency services
  • Vendor support
  • Exhibitor support
  • Photographer/Videographer

After hours/Day after

  • Clean up
  • Tent/booth take down (need lots of strong bodies)
  • Return rental equipment
  • Heat gun to remove vinyl pavement stickers

Special  skills

  • AV/sound tech to assist
  • Flag/traffic  personnel

  • First aid
